Gilles Noblet at Domaine de la Collonge continues to fashion some of the Macon's finest and most enjoyable white wines from several renowned appellations.
Located in the charming village of Meloisey, the domaine covers 15 hectares of appellation-rated vines and is run by the young and dynamic Claudine Gerard.
At Dubreuil-Fontaine, 20 ha of vines produce no fewer than 20 different appellations! Today Christine GRUERE-DUBREUIL manages the operation, guided by her father Bernard DUBREUIL.
"Run today by the genial Rene Lequin and his son Francois out of modern cellars, the VV Santenay was the first wine to sell out from the last shipment.
These wines are exceptional. In recent years Vincent and Cécile have propelled the estate to a position of international acclaim. In 2005 they won the coveted Decanter Magazine 5 star award and have been recommended by many major international wine critics of renown.
The young and very talented Thiébault Huber produces wines which are dense, concentrated, vibrant and alive with complex flavours and aromas.
The vines are located in gravelly subsoil. Aged in one to seven year old barrels, the wine produced has a succulent, red berry fruit enhanced by stoney notes. Maréchal aims to make "vins de plaisir", wines that offer a pleasurable experience for everyone.
Philippe’s work is fundamentally based on his absolute respect for his vineyards and grapes. The wines are aged for 12 to 18 months in oak barrels depending on the terroir and the rhythm of each wine.
The wines from the Parent Domaine are the result of the rigorous efforts made by the Parent Family: a constant search for a complete balance between elegance and strength.
